Snowboarding Holidays France | Courchevel
The snowboarding in Courchevel is excellent. It is widely known that the entire 3 valley range (including Courchevel) has some of the
best snowboarding available. Courchevel prides itself on the excellent pistes and how well they are looked after. For beginners and intermediates there are simply no better pistes available. 100% of green and blue runs are groomed every single night, with approximately 88% of reds getting the same treatment.
The pistes are well laid out and getting around is super easy. From a
modern, fast and very efficient lift and gondola service through to a free and frequent bus service linking the villages of 1850,1650 & 1550 together.
Snowboard Courchevel 1850
The main runs in Courchevel 1850 for snowboarders are Verdons, Chenus, Saulire & Biollay plus the runs down to La Tania. You can easily spend an entire week circling these runs. They offer wide, varied terrain with loads of lumps and bumps to jump off and jib. The trees down to La tania are awesome when there is powder on the ground....and don't forget about the
new fun park under the verdons lift. These are only a few of the runs on offer in Courchevel 1850, there are loads more, these should definitely be on your list.
Snowboard Courchevel 1650
You can also make your way over to Courchevel 1650. This area is great, normally a lot quieter than the 1850 side and it gets the sun all day long in March. The main runs here leave the top of the Signal chair. The runs are wide and vary in gradient but never get too steep making this area great from beginners looking to progress after their lessons have ended. A great run is from the top of the signal chair all the way down to the village of 1650 for a hot dog Raclette! Yum yum.
